PROGRAM OVERVIEW: Yoga is now widely regarded as a powerful adjunct to other therapies, particularly effective in the stabilization and healing process of individuals with emotional well-being challenges. Healthcare professionals including nurses, doctors, and therapists can benefit by being trained to use Yoga as a complementary therapy in their practice.  Upon completion, graduates will have a comprehensive understanding of how to apply these theories and techniques to support emotional wellbeing, when working with groups to suffering with depression, anxiety, addictive behaviours and trauma. Throughout the program, we focus on each student’s personal and professional development.  Students learn how to practice and teach a trauma informed Yoga class with established protocols that are transferable to a variety of individuals, populations, and work environments.
